I am a recent law graduate looking to go into law and qualify as a solicitor, specifically in property. However, I am unsure whether this role would be haram.
The reasons I am uncertain is because it could involve drafting a contract for a client who has purchased a property using mortgage. Would this amount to assisting a riba-based transaction? Also, if a client was to purchase a commercial property which was to be used for haram activities (e.g. a bank) and I was to provide legal help to acquire, lease, renew would this also be haram?
