Assalamoaleikum,
I have some money invested in Sukuk funds SPSK (https://www.sp-funds.com/spsk/) and AMAPX (https://www.saturna.com/amana/participation-fund) with a long term view. My question is, is Zakat due on the full market value and income of the Sukuk shares or only on the income they generate? These are funds and hence consist of all kinds of Sukuk investments (ijarah, musharikah, murabaha etc.) and its difficult for me to figure out which contain zakatable assets and which don’t. What should be done in such a situation?
