Salaam @Mufti_Faraz_Adam
I wanted to ask about two particular cases for calculating zakat on investments in properties on Yielders.
-
I have read that zakat is only paid on the rental income. However, these properties have a fixed investment term and have an intention to sell at the end of this term. Does this intention mean I have to calculate zakat on the full investment value every year? If not, do i have to do this only in the year it is intended to be sold or from the moment it is put on market to sell the property?

I have a Yielders property which is being listed for sale and rent, and a decision will be made what to do based on the best return for investors. In this case, do i continue to only pay zakat on any rental income only, or should i now include the value of the investment for zakat?
Really appreciate your help
