Question related to working as a DevOps Engineer within the trading industry
Salam alaykum team, hope you are well in sha allah.
I have been looking at cloud engineer/devops engineer roles and were wondering if they are halal within the trading industry. I was also wondering if such roles would be halal when working with hedge funds.
I have provided the general descriptions of what a DevOps Engineer would be involved with:
- assessing current systems and processes, and developing ways to improve them
- building and setting up infrastructure
- working with developers and other IT colleagues to oversee code releases
- writing specification documents
- testing and examining code written by others and analysing results
- identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
- planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions.
Can you please let me know if such roles would be halal ?
