Salaam alaikum,
I’ve been asked to assist with software engineering for a crypto startup.
The product is as a tracker for DeFi tokens. By their very nature, there’s no central authority to query information about tokens in DeFi exchanges. What’s more, the vast majority of tokens released are outright scams, with code exploits and vulnerabilities designed to defraud investors of their equity.
This product aims to raise the standard of token tracking in the decentralised world. Mimicking features like CoinMarketCap, will let users see a list of tokens, identify blatant vulnerabilities and show them recent price changes and activities. The product will initially focus on newly-created tokens.
The product will not itself facilitate the trading of tokens but aims to give potential investors more visibility and insight.
Certain features of the product will only be available to users carrying the product’s token (e.g. you might need 500 tokens for a Standard account and 2000 tokens for a Pro account). This is how it will be “monetized”.
Just want to ensure that there are no issues Islamically in working with this startup. I won’t be getting paid cash, but rather will have an ownership stake in the product’s token.
