Working as an auditor

Assalamu alaykum,

I have had great difficulty in finding an answer to my question - I have asked may imams. However, unfortunately, although having great knowledge of the deen, were not able to answer my question.

Various people with more knowledge than myself have mentioned that being an auditor is permissible whilst working for an audit firm.

However, upon moving into industry, where you may become the head of finance and will be making specific decisions is where we will need to be more mindful.

My question is which sectors would be permissible to work for in an industry perspective. e.g. tech & media, property & construction, financial services etc

It depends more on your specific job role and not necessarily the industry always. If you have a job description, please share that.

Can we work as auditor for investment and management companies?

Auditor include tasks like verifying the figures of the financial statement if they are truely and fairly presented.
