Assalamu Alaikum,
I seek guidance on whether working as a software engineer at Amazon is considered Halal. While I am not directly involved in anything related to payment systems or usury, I recently came across news that Amazon, along with other major tech companies, is accused of supporting the Israeli military, which is involved in the killing of Palestinians and other unethical activities.
Additionally, as part of my compensation, I receive RSUs (Restricted Stock Units), meaning I own shares in the company as an employee.
Given this, is it permissible to continue working there if I don’t have other job offers with a comparable salary? I do have another offer, but it comes with a significantly lower salary.
