Assalamu’alaikum,
I have had a business bank account for some years and just recently started receiving some interest on the account. At the same time, I have unfortunately incurred an interest charge from HMRC (which I have only found out about) on my tax bill for the same business.
(The interest I am being charged is NOT related to any loan/mortgage/service etc that I have taken out)
Can I use the interest received from the bank to pay the interest charge to HMRC?
