Assalam o alaikum!

I need to ask if the Etoro platform is halal for trading stocks considering we are buying the underlying asset? No CFD contract involved.

Secondly, is the concept of specifying Stop Loss or Take Profit halal?

Wa alaykum salaam,

It would only be permitted if all the conditions of a valid sale are found, such as:

  1. Ownership transfer of shares
  2. Possession of shares
  3. Risk transfer
  4. Sales being absolute and unconditional
  5. No non-compliant facilities used in the trade
