As Salamu Alaykum brothers and sisters,

Hope you’re all doing well today. I have a few questions regarding Sukuk, if anyone would be so kind as to answer them that would be great.

  1. If I invest in a Sukuk now, do I have to wait till end of maturity to receive full amount back?

  2. Also, if I invest now in May and the coupon period started in April and ends in September, am I still gonna receive the coupon payment?

Wa alaykum salaam,

The answers to these questions depend on the Sukuk itself.

But typically, yes, you would wait until maturity to receive capital.
