I recently started working on an app where users can share and view their art making process videos.
There are Eastern art themes involved, such as calligraphy and water marbling.
In other words, I just provide a platform for painting/drawing.
There are similar apps on the App Store and Play Store, such as PENUP and Sketch One.
The topic of drawing animate figures is a disputed topic in Islam.
But as a platform provider, I obviously cannot control users’ choices of painting.
Is this type of startup/app halal?
I charge users on a monthly basis.
Will my earnings be halal?
