I have a DC pension scheme (shariah compliant) with my work and want to know what the Shafi’i position is regarding my contributions from a Zakat perspective. Is it Zakatable each year or once it is in my possession? Also, are my employer’s contributions Zakatable?
I have not been able to get an answer as per the Shafi’i madhab and would really appreciate some insight into this inshAllah.
