Assalamu’alaykum,
I currently have a workplace pension with Scottish Widows. I have only recently been informed that such pensions are haram. Therefore, I am trying to move it over to a shari’ah compliant pension.
I spoke to one of their advisors and I was informed that I am only eligible to switch to one of their Ethical and Environmental funds.
Does anyone know if these are halal?
Additionally, having accrued some money in my workplace pension over the last few years, what do I do with the funds in regards to the fact that I have accrued some haram wealth?
