Would it be permissible to accept a job as a researcher for an independent research consultancy whose clients are from private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, credit, real estate and hedgefunds?
The role would be specifically delivering research projects for clients. I would be responsible for all aspects of project planning and delivery. I would be working with private equity firms and their stakeholders (by interviewing private equity executives and the companies they invest in) to answer research questions such as:
- What would key sticking points be for investors when deciding to invest in the next fund?
- How can a mid-market private equity business expand?
- How successfuly have changes in senior management been perceived?
