Assalamu alaykum, I’ve seen your video on youtube on the 5 steps to look for to see if a stock is halal. Let’s say for this example that tesla is a halal stock, (i’m not sure if it is or not in reality) do I have to know the ins and outs of the company/sector to be able to invest in a halal manner into that company? What i’m trying to say, is that do we have to fully understand how a company works and runs before we invest into it, or can we just invest without fully understanding everything about a company? Is it ok to invest in a company which we know is halal (for this example we used tesla) even if we dont understand how they fully operate?
JazakAllahu Khair for taking the time out to answer this question!!!
Wasalam
May Allah bless you.
The scholars have put in place criteria to determine whether a company is shariah compliant or not.
If one cannot make a judgment based on those criteria, then they should seek advice from a qualified person who can assist them. Nowadays, with apps such as Zoya and Islamically, there is no reason to not be able to find out the correct information about whether a company is halal or not.
And Allah knows best!
