I have a question regarding property investing and whether the below is permissible or not.
I have a friend (non-believer) who raises capital to buy properties renovate and then sell on for a profit which is distributed back to the investors.
In order to raise the capital, this is made up of investments from ordinary people such as myself as well as conventional loans or mortgages to make up any difference which would of course incur interest.
Therefore my question is whether it is permissible for one to invest in such an initiative whereby I am only contributing my own fixed amount towards a property in cash to earn a return on this which would obviously be in conjunction with any loans or mortgage the developer takes out to make bridge the shortfall to buy the house as I would have no direct dealing with anything beyond my initial investment?
