Salaam All,
I hope you are well. I had a question about investing in a company that has two or three types of shares, including preferential shares.
My understanding is that owning preferential shares is forbidden, or, as a company giving out preferential shares is forbidden.
However, can someone buy common stock in a company, even though the company does have shareholders who own preferential shares?
I recently came across a company that is crowdfunding and they are selling common stock, but some shareholders do own preferential shares - am I allowed to invest in this company?
Salaams,
HB
