  1. Is having the role of an accountant/actuary permissible in Islam?

  2. If it is permissible, is there specific industries that it will be impermissible to be employed in?

Generally, these roles are permissible. In most roles, you are not directly involved in facilitating Shariah non compliant transactions. If you have a specific role in mind, you are free to share.
