Loans involving interest as last resort

Salaams

A hypothetical question to increase knowledge -

If a person found themselves in a desperate situation, where they could not afford basics such as food, gas, electric, rent and there is no one that could help, would it be acceptable to take out loans and credit card debt that would incur interest to be paid.

This would be a last resort, when there are no other options.

Would accessing food banks be acceptable to reduce the size of the loan?

Thanks

May Allah bless you.
It depends. It’s difficult to answer this sort of hypothetical question. I would first ask myself, how can someone be in such desperate situation, and yet, they are able to even pass a credit check to receive a loan…
