Loan before muslim, crypto invested

Assalamu alaikum

I have a question about my investment in crypto. Specifically XRP. I know the crypto itself is halal, and it is going to have a leading role in the new financial system.

Before i took my shahada and reverted i took a loan from the bank to invest in this crypto.

As of my understanding this sin is forgotten since it was before my knowledge. But offcrs I have to pay back this loan as fast as possible.

Will my profits from the crypto be halal?
I read about a loan for a business, the profits from the business would be halal, but one would have to pay charity equal to the loan and not expect any reward.

Could my crypto be seen as that business?

I have done alot of research and gained knowledge about what this crypto is going to do and be for the future of finance itself.

If i was to sell the crypto now and pay just some of my loan, and then work to pay it down. It would take longer for me to get rid of it, than if I get the profits from the crypto first.

Noteably, I got a healthproblem that hinders me in doing alot of work. Hence why i started researching and gaining knowledge of the world, finance, and then Islam.

Thank you for answer.

Wasalam

May Allah bless you,

If I understood correctly, you took out an interest based loan before converting to Islam and you are asking if the profit you receive by investing this loan is halal or not?
The answer is yes, as long as the loan received was invested in a halal way. Its the interest repayment that is haram.

Kind regards,
