Is working in the Structured Finance Department of a traditional bank permissible?

Salam Alaikum,

I have a question. I wanted to know if working in the structured finance sector of a traditional bank would be islamically permissible?

Everyone time there are Islamic funding options at a traditional bank it is always under the structured finance department. Are the duties under the Structured Finance Department sharia compliment, meaning no interest or uncertainty, of course you are more knowledgeable about this, and Allah knows best. I am not entirely sure what the Structured Finance Department entails, but from what I know they mostly deal with securities.

Your reply is much appreciated.

Kind regards and best wishes,

Fajer, a third year finance major.
