I am interested in joining Armaan Resales in the following business proposal.
Armaan Resales is a dropshipping supplier. However, they do not manufacture the products themselves nor do they keep any stock. I am not sure what kind of contract they have with their manufacturer. I pay Armaan Resales a fee to gain access to sell products on Amazon and for marketing and business support etc. I also have to pay Armaan Resales a commission on sales.
When I sell on Amazon and a customer orders an item (product details and delivery specified), the customer pays Amazon. I do not receive the money immediately. Amazon will pay me within 3 months. However, I have to pay Armaan Resales for cost of purchasing the item as well as commission as soon as a customer purchases an item. I don’t keep any stock with me. After the customer purchases an item (pays for his order), I then place an order with Armaan Resales (supplier) who delivers directly to the customer.
Should there be an issue with delivery of a product to the purchaser, I will have to ask Armaan Resales to follow up. Armaan Resales will find out if the customer wants the item to be replaced or a refund. If the customer wants a refund, I will have to refund the customer and then Armaan Resales will return the money to me.
If the above is not permissible, what can I do differently to make it shariah compliant?
