Can I use some money I recieved as birthday gifts to start a business and will income be halal. I am not sure if birthdays are haram.

Scholars differ on this matter. Some argue it is haram to accept the gifts because celebrating birthdays is not permissible. Some argue that it is better to avoid accepting/using the gifts.
In my personal opinion there is nothing wrong to accept and use a gift received on your birthday, as longer as the gift itself is halal.
