note: I thought I had created a question asking this previously but I cannot find it so I am asking again. I apologise if this is a duplicate of the topic. I cannot find the previous topic.
I’m asking because I made some money from investing in Lina and I am now considering giving it to charity if I do not have a reasonable reason to believe it is halal and does not overtly involve haram things like riba. I am usually reasonably careful with researching a coin to make sure there isn’t any overt haram purpose to it but with this investment, I confused it with a different crypto called Lina (this one is called Linear - they both have the same short-name).
