I’d like to know: is working as a quant halal ?
It’s not my job yet but it seems interesting to me and I’d like to know before starting if it’s Halal or not. As for the job description, a quant (short for quantitative analyst) is a professional who uses mathematical and statistical models to analyze financial and investment data. They use their expertise in finance, mathematics, and computer programming to develop trading strategies, risk management tools, and other financial products. Quants work in a variety of industries, including investment banking, hedge funds, asset management, and insurance companies. They play an important role in the financial industry, helping to manage risk and make investment decisions based on data-driven analysis.

As longer as you are using your service for halal purposes then there are no issues with working as a quant analyst.

Asslamualaikum, does it mean a person working for a liquor company (but not drinking it) uses his/her service for halal preposes is not doing anything wrong?
