As-salamu alaykum,
I know Forex trading is haram due to leverage, margin and due to the fact that you don’t actually trade and own any asset/currrency due to how CFDs are constructed.
However, what is the Islamic point of view and ruling on Crypto Spot trading, on such exchanges as Binance?
In the spot market the trader actually buys and own a portion of the underlying asset acquired at its current price and it can be holded, stored, sold and traded by its owner.
Would it be halal to day trade Crypto on the spot market by making sure you are engaging in halal cryptos, without using leverage/margin and by only placing long positions?
If so, is there any fatwa/Islamic finance studies supporting the permissibility of crypto spot trading?
