Salaam, I recently found out about this project called Saito. Saito is a project that works on making the blockchain infrastructure open. One thing that I stumbled across is that it uses a hash power lottery. For example when a block is produced, miners in the network are going to start hashing on a random number in that block trying to produce a hash power solution that is difficult enough to put in the transaction and broadcast it into the network.
Because we’re dealing with blockchain terminology as well as technology, would one say that this is haram. Thanks. @Mufti_Billal @Mufti_Faraz_Adam
