Gold backed crypto halal?

Assalamualaikum and hi all.
I’ve been informed that there are shariah compliant gold trading and not shariah compliant. Not syariah compliant gold trading involved gold that you don’t own or just virtual gold.
I’ve come accross gold backed cryptocurrency which are PAXG and DGX. The tokens were issued based on gold reserves the company hold. And you can also redeem gold bullion physically at their location which is London and Singapore resepctively.

I consider these tokens were the same as other usd backed stablecoins. Appreciate your thoughts regarding this matter whether it’s halal or not. Jazakallah

As longer as the token is fully backed by gold and the ownership and constructive/physically possession is given, then there is nothing wrong with trading gold backed token.
You can also look into MRHB TijarX where people will be able to trade shariah compliant gold backed tokens.
