Is it permissable to work in fraud prevention in a conventional bank directly?

Assalaamu alaykum,
Most scholars would discourage you from working in a conventional bank regardless of your role.
There are scholars who are of the view that as long as your particular role is halal, then your income will be lawful. However, working in such an industry is definitely not the best choice and you should look to work in a company whose core services and products are halal.
Fraud prevention is a permissible role and your income will be lawful.
