Assalamu Alaykum,

I have a question on Warranty please. for example buying a washing machine from Argos - the washing machine costing £400 comes with 1 year warranty as standard. for an additional £34.99 I can extend the warranty to 3 years. is this Halal to do at the point of purchase?

Some scholars are of the opinion that if you buy the extended warranty at the same time that you are purchasing the item, then it will be acceptable from a shariah perspective.
