Crypto Alt coins screening

Trust you are well.

I would like to enquire on what basis are crypto ‘coins’ screened? And what is the basis of clasifying them as Halaal and Haraam?

Will the underlying project play a role in its classification as I understand crypto assets to be divorced from the projects unlike holding shares in a company.

Please can you assist.
