Is it permissible to pay only in cash (and other means) to the business because it’ll mean not having to pay extra for sales taxes? In my own region (Toronto area in Canada) it is not illegal on the part of the consumer to pay less because the business isn’t putting sales taxes on the good or service, but it is illegal for the business itself to do that

We must ensure that all our practices are compliant with the law. As a customer, you are not party to the tax affairs of the business. However, the business must ensure it conducts itself in a legally compliant manner.
