Career as a Lecturer/Professor in Creative Writing

Assalamualaikum. I am passionate about pursuing a career as a Lecturer/Professor in Creative Writing. As an employee, I would need to give feedback to students’ works in progress (novels, mostly). However, in this day and age, it is very common for students in the West to write novels that are very unislamic–novels with abundant zina, for example. As a teacher, I would need to give feedback to those novels in terms of writing skills and techniques, not ideology. In that sense, since I would be in charge of helping students achieve a fine quality in such works, will my income be haraam? In other words, even though I will not ideologically support their works but I will provide beneficial comments to the technical aspects of their works, will my income be haraam still? Please help me out I am extremely confused.

Career as a creative writing teacher or professor can be extremely rewarding, but requires considerable training and a passion for the art of words. It is important not only to have deep knowledge in literature, but also to be able to transfer this knowledge to students.
