Wanted a few thoughts on how halal it would be to invest in the SPAC BFT. Normally I would stay away from SPACs due to the uncertainty of future investments. Thus, I only invested in BFT after it was confirmed they would merge with Paysafe.
Paysafe’s makes money by charging a yearly fee for the use of their card amongst other avenues. However, what has been bothering me is that a portion of Paysafe customers are gamblers. Paysafe even won ‘Payments Processor of the Year’ American Gambling Award in 2019.
Does the fact Paysafe enables a haraam practice, and a significant amount too, make the stock haraam? However, keeping in mind, their customers will be the one directly committing the haraam.
