Assalamualaikum
Can you please provide guidance on the permissability of the healthcare cover provide by Beneden? This is based on ‘mutual fund’ model where members pay into a fund from which healthcare is provided on a “discretionary basis”. The monthly cost is fixed for all & only varies with level of cover (rather than individually as is the case for conventional health insurance). Members are only allowed more services the longer they are part of the plan. In short, its quite different to standard health insurance but not sure whether it is halal. Can you kindly review & advise?
