I hope you’re doing well.

I want to know if my job is halal or haram. I work as a Data Scientist in a startup specializing in investment, specifically in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). We help investors find potential startups and vice versa, so our solution doesn’t directly involve riba (interest). I believe that the work I do and the values of the company are halal, but what concerns me is the nature of our potential clients. These may include Private Equity firms, Venture Capital firms, Investment Funds, Consulting Firms, and possibly Investment Banks (M&A departments). We don’t have any clients yet, but we are prospecting.

I’d like to know your thoughts on whether my work is halal or not.
