how can we explain the fact that DJ Islamic Titan 100 islamic index is composed by Apple, facebook, Miscrosoft , etc… while the MSCI World Islamic Index does not contain these GAFAMS stocks ?
Is DJ Titan Islamic index really sharia compliant ?

Both uses different methodologies to do financial screening with regards to gearing.
DJ uses market capitalisation whereas MSCI uses total assets. Tech stocks generally have greater market capitalisation due to their future growth potential / relatively low asset base. For this reason, you will see the tilt of tech stocks in all market capitalisation based indexes.
