Assalamu alaykum,

I ask Allah that you find this in good health. I had recently day traded from my portfolio into a healthcare company that had a debt to asset ratio of 34.58%. It was unbeknownst to me that investing in a company with a greater debt to asset ratio of 33% deems the stock unlawful through screening. What should I do with the money in order to purify it?

Thank you for your assistance. Jazakallahu khair.

Wa alaykum salaam,

You should exit the trade. You can retrieve your initial capital back. Any profit should be given in charity.
